Welcome to my introductory blog post. This is a new thing for me. Abit of a stretch just putting myself out there. This is part recall of experiences and memories, part mental stimulus and part therapy.
Its actually quite exciting getting these words down and thinking my way down this page, trying to produce a coherent and readable post.
I've always enjoyed the outdoors, I was born in New Zealand and grew up on a farm, so a lot of time was spent at the beach, or in the forests and all sorts of places in between. Family is/was important and my best and earliest childhood friends were my two younger sisters and four 1st cousins of similar age.
So at an early age between exploring the area and also going with family to take part in other activities like hunting and gathering and being introduced to the methods that entailed success in these pursuits it was a good early life.
Another memory that sticks with me from an early age is walking through an orchard created by my great grandfather, helping him (in my young mind) work on various aspects of this wonderland in which our little gang would spend countless hours gorging ourselves on fruits and berries.
Learning and gaining a respect and appreciation for the time he put into the orchard and a lot of other things in his life, without my father there he was a huge influence on my life at that time and still to this day.
Well thanks for reading through this , it has been enjoyable getting my thoughts down on my introductory post. I have lots more ideas and will be working on getting them out in the future.
